Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Colorit at colorit.website. By using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Colorit.

What Colorit does

Colorit fetches a public web page, lets you preview other color palettes and fonts on it, and exports the result as code or as instructions for a coding tool. Previews are approximate: complex pages may look different from the original, and scripts are disabled in the preview.

Using it responsibly

• Capture only public pages. Do not try to reach private, internal or login-protected content.
• Do not overload Colorit or the sites you capture, evade our limits or bot checks, or probe our systems.
• You are responsible for having the right to use the sites you capture and the designs, fonts and brand assets you export. Colorit gives you no rights to anyone else’s content, trademarks or fonts.
• Do not use Colorit for anything unlawful or to harm others.
• Review links show a snapshot of someone else’s website, restyled. You are responsible for the pages you share and for having the right to share them. Do not use review links to imitate a website in order to mislead people, to collect information, or to share unlawful content. We may remove a link or project that breaks these rules.
• One account is for one person. Do not share your login, resell captures or access, or build a competing capture service on top of Colorit. Client work is allowed on plans that say so.

Free use, accounts and Pro

• Previews of palettes and fonts on the example site are free without an account. To capture your own website you sign in with Google. Each account gets 3 free captures to try Colorit (a one-time trial, not a daily allowance) and basic palette CSS. We may pause free trial captures on days when demand is high; paid captures are not affected.
• Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase for the account that bought it, for as long as Colorit is offered. It unlocks the full theme exports and coding-agent instructions, saved projects and review links, and includes 100 captures a month plus 25 extra captures. Client work is allowed. Monthly captures do not carry over; the 25 extra captures have no time limit, stay on your account until used and are used after the monthly ones.
• Captures are used one per capture, and a capture that fails does not use one. Captures belong to your account, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and have no value outside Colorit.
• You sign in with Google. Keep your account secure; you are responsible for activity on it.

Payments and refunds

Prices are shown before you pay and are charged through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also handles tax and invoices. Within 14 days of buying Pro you can get a full refund, however many captures you have used. Refunds are limited to one per person; a purchase made after a refund is final. After 14 days Pro is not refundable, except when Colorit did not work because of a fault on our side. To ask, write to hello@colorit.website. A refund ends Pro and removes the captures that came with it. The full rules are in the refund policy.

Availability and changes

Colorit is provided “as is”. Websites can block captures and our service can be unavailable, so we cannot promise that any capture, preview or export will work for every site. We may change or stop features, limits and prices; changes do not affect a Pro purchase you have already made without notice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Colorit and its owner are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss from using exports in your own projects, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Colorit and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.
